19 Jun Travel Hotspots of 2019
Here are LUYA’s favourite travel hotspots of 2019 – whether it be a staycation in the historic city of Chester or an idyllic overseas holiday to the clear blue waters of the Caribbean, we have a list that is going to make you want to book your next trip right away…
Barbados
Who doesn’t like clear blue waters, white sandy beaches and rum punches galore?! We most certainly do! Yes, you do have to sit on a plane for over 8-hours to get there, but it is well worth it. If you’re not one for lying on the beach with a book in one hand and cocktail in the other then don’t panic, there are lots of fun-filled activities for you to get stuck into. From snorkelling with the turtles to visiting the islands enchanting gardens, there is something for everyone. The choice and quality of place to eat out in Barbados is second to none, from Barbados’ most famous restaurant The Cliff to The Tides in Holetown.
Why not try The Lawns at Thornton Hall for a luxurious fine dining experience or Australasia for a modern dining experience.
London
Where to begin… only a 2-hour train journey from Chester, so many restaurants we don’t even know where to start, bustling bars and the most iconic tourist spots – count us in any day! Top of LUYA’s agenda would of course be food, which means us heading straight from Euston Station to Soho. With is extensive range of restaurants and bars to satisfy any craving from Yauatcha, an all-day dim sum teahouse to Barrafina, a cosy tapas bar – Soho is definitely top of our London checklist.
Want to get that London atmosphere a little closer to home? Why not visit Sunset by Australasia or Red Door’s rooftop bar, Eden, for that buzzy, London bar feeling.
Barcelona
One of the best City breaks in Europe has to be Barcelona – sight-seeing, beaches and tapas, and all only a 2-hour 20-minute flight away. What more could you want?! There are also a number of high-quality hotels to choose from, including the W Barcelona, Hotel Pulitzer and Soho House Barcelona – all totally up LUYA’s street!
Want to get a Spanish fix right here in Cheshire? Then go and check out Porta Tapas
Chester
The beautiful city of Chester is one of the best-preserved walled cities in Britain. With numerous landmarks and tourist attractions including the cathedral and Eastgate Clock, it is certainly at the top of our staycation list! The range of hotels to choose from is extensive, from The Chester Grosvenor located right in the city centre to Thornton Hall, a luxurious hotel situated in the heart of the Wirral countryside, only a 30-minute drive from Chester. You are sure to find exactly what you are looking for.
