02 Apr Shortlisted for ‘PR Agency of the Year’
We are so excited to announce we’ve been shortlisted for PR Agency of the Year at the Prolific North Champion Awards 2024. Following a year of major client wins, impactful campaigns and stats that broke records, we’re so happy to see that all our hard work is being recognised on a national scale.
Whilst we work with a broad range of clients across the UK and internationally, the heart of the agency always comes back to our North-based roots. Having worked with some of the fastest-growing operators, new businesses and respected entrepreneurs throughout the North and beyond, we’ve definitely put our stamp on this side of the world – covering sectors across retail, property, leisure & hospitality and manufacturing.
Prolific North’s annual awards programme is an opportunity for the best of the industry in the North of England to be recognised. We are so pleased to be amongst the brilliant creative and digital agencies that have been shortlisted.
Being named as a finalist of PR Agency of the Year is a real testament to Team LUYA’s incredible hard work and we couldn’t be more proud.
A year for the books…
From fun PR stunts (yes, we’re bringing back flashmobs!) to full-scale events up and down the country and an insane amount of coverage. We’ve certainly been busy over the past 12 months. Here’s just a quick overview of what we’ve been up to across some of our major campaigns.
Søstrene Grene
- LUYA was named the first UK PR agency for the Danish-born homewares brand.
- Launched stores across key Northern cities including Sheffield, Liverpool and York. We opened a total of 11 stores across the UK last year and we’re aiming for a further 20 throughout 2024 – watch this space!
- Oversaw the opening of the first flagship store on Tottenham Court Road in central London.
- Formed collaborations with other leading UK-trading Danish brands, such as Ole & Steen and Lego.
- Saw our Christmas influencer campaign perform best across all international markets.
- Secured high-profile coverage with 2.2billion reach and over 2million estimated views. Key publications include The Times, Forbes, Stylist, Cosmopolitan, Ideal Home and an in-depth BBC Radio 4’s Gap Finders interview.
- Subsequently, brought on to also oversee Facebook community management and PR for Ireland.
Inspired Villages
- Organised a National Fitness Day flash mob showcasing ‘age is just a number’. With interviews on BBC and ITV which saw an audience reach of around 500million.
- Created an intergenerational garden at a Warwick primary school for neighbouring village residents and students to come together. This saw multiple pieces of regional coverage and a feature in The Daily Mail.
- Launched the UK’s first net-zero regulated carbon village and arranged interviews with The Times and The Telegraph.
- Awarded the National PR contract for Inspired as they continue their rollout plan for 50 villages by 2030.
Climat
- Organised a press first-look event, which saw a combined reach of social coverage of over 1million. This also grew Climat’s Instagram page from 2K to 10K followers overnight.
- Our hard work saw The Guardian and Observer’s famed restaurant critic, Jay Rayner, pay them a visit just three weeks post-opening.
- Hosted a press lunch in honour of Climat’s 1st birthday with all major hospitality contacts, journalists and influencers.
- Achieved 161 pieces of coverage with an audience of 1.7billion and over 7.2million reach, including features with Times Radio, The Caterer, Vogue and Condé Nast Traveller.
- Linked up with Chanel’s team for the recent Matiers d’Art show in Manchester for bookings with exclusive guests and VIPs.
Looking to the future…
What’s next for Team LUYA we hear you ask? Well, there’s plenty more events, coverage and social campaigns where that came from.
We do however have big plans when it comes to growth. We’re thinking global, aiming to leverage our work in particular with European markets, as well as expand our client portfolio within multi-site businesses and organisations of any size that are either looking to roll out into the North or throughout the UK. Know a business that might be looking for just that? Get in touch: hello@luya.co.uk.
